A good story line but the grammatical errors tended to take the pleasure out of reading them. The fourth book had the most. It is so important to have the books proofed before going to press. I read all four of these books in just a few days. I'm really going to miss all the characters. Great books, plots, twists, characters and storyline.
Loved every minute of this set. Could not put it down. Great characters. Lots of twists and turns and unexpected connections. Really gripping tales.
The Thorn Chronicles shows a story about magic and how Naomi, Kai,Puck,Wyatt, Sunday all overcome many obstacles and challenges in their lives. It shows love, loyalty, and friendship can be tested.
These are the first books that I read by Kimberly Loth, & I knew right away that she was an author to add to my list of faves. Ms. Loth weaves a fascinating story, with complex, intriguing characters. Her plot is full of twisty turns, & keeps the reader on the edge of their seat as they get totally wrapped up in Ms. Loth's world. Great escapist fiction! Highly recommended!
I purchased the 4 book set for a great deal.
I was hooked from the first chapter. I normal take forever to read a book I am slow reader lol
I read all 4 in 3 days. Not 1 part of these books were boring. The authors words kept my heart racing and wanting more. I only problem I have is the story has ended. I am sad
Amazing, greatly writing and yes there were some miss spellings but nobody but God is perfect
Very engaging series with a lot of twists and turns. After finishing the Dragon King series by a kimberly I went looking for more of he books to read. The covers of the Thron Chronicles immedialty had me interested. I bought the whole box set and began to immerse myself in this story and it did not disappoint. The beginning had me wondering at first what type of book this would be as the cult the main character is in was disturbing to read about. Of course that made me happy to read about her escape. The plot twists just kept coming which kept me engaged through out all the books. The characters were well developed. I looked the fact this was a clean series as well so I am able to share it with my daughters. Another excellent series by Kimberly Loth. I cannot wait to read her others.
I really like the world this author made up. I love several aspects about the powers and the two competing groups called Guardians and Destroyers. And I love the third group that emerges in the last two novels. The Shades.
The best part about this series was the first novel, when Naomi's plight was new and I was just diving into this world. The kisses were steamy, and I loved the way kissing built a Guardian's power. The author does a great interlude at the beginning of each chapter, relating the two main characters with their favorite plants, roses and cacti. In the first novel, I loved how the energies were so strongly related to smells.
As it is with many series where powers emerge, some of it is boring while the characters grapple with new emerging abilities. Once events unfolded and danger and excitement progressed, the stories regained my interest. The slowest novels were the middle two, although, the ending of Secrets picked up and I really like the character that Sunday becomes.
At times some events seemed too coincidental. A few aspects of the energies seemed to evolve with need. Some of the characters' thoughts and even grammar was a bit repetitive. The editing seemed to fall off with the last two novels too.
I'm satisfied with the wrap up of the series. I loved all the characters. I was never sure who to root for in the two love triangles, but I was pleased with how the author left things.
Reader Rated for ages 14+ for mild language, mild kissing, and mild violence.
